Press release

Dossche Mills was asked by its main gluten supplier to block a number of batches of supplied gluten and flour products containing this gluten, as a precautionary measure.

News

Dossche Mills was asked by its main gluten supplier to block a number of batches of supplied gluten and flour products containing this gluten, as a precautionary measure. This was due to a possible violation of standards involving residual material from a processing aid used during gluten production at the premises of the supplier concerned. We are in contact with the food agency about this matter.

As required by law, Dossche Mills immediately blocked the gluten in question and stopped supplying products containing it. This resulted in a temporary interruption of supplies to our customers for two days or so, for which we apologise.

No violation of standards involving this residual material was detected in our flour or flour products. Consequently, there is no acute public health risk.

At the moment, Dossche Mills is making every effort to get production back up to full speed. We expect deliveries to our customers to normalise again in the coming days.

If you have any questions, please get in touch with your sales contact.
