Dossche Mills and Euro Pizza Products: full switch to Terah flour

September 2026 – Dossche Mills and Euro Pizza Products are taking the next major step in their collaboration on Terah, Dossche Mills’ Footprint Program. After increasing volumes gradually over several years, Euro Pizza Products will make a full switch to Terah in 2027: all the flour it buys will be Terah flour. This means that, from 2027, all New York Pizza pizza bases, among others, will be made with Terah flour that delivers a guaranteed 30% reduction in CO₂e emissions compared with 2022.

From 2027, every Euro Pizza Products dough ball will be made with Terah flour from regenerative farming

From initial volumes to a complete switch

Euro Pizza Products supplies dough to New York Pizza (the Netherlands), Koti Pizza (Finland), DaGrasso (Poland) and many other major customers. It has used flour from the Terah programme for several years, steadily increasing the share since the outset. Terah already accounts for 80% of its flour volume in 2026, with a full switch planned for 2027.

The phased approach has allowed the partners to build experience, strengthen cooperation across the supply chain and increase volumes responsibly. Throughout the process, the flour’s quality and processing properties have remained unchanged.

“What makes this partnership special is not just that Euro Pizza Products and New York Pizza started using Terah, but that they have chosen to take another step forward every year,” says Kristof Dossche, CEO of Dossche Mills. “Many sustainability initiatives never move beyond a pilot or a small share of total volume. Here, the opposite is happening: our partner builds experience, scales up consistently and ultimately makes sustainability part of all its regular flour purchasing. That is how you create an impact that can truly scale.”

Debbie Klein, CEO of New York Pizza and Euro Pizza Products, adds:“For us, sustainability is not a one-off initiative but a long-term commitment to our supply chain and our customers. Our work with Dossche Mills shows how partnering with suppliers and farmers can bring about real change in the field. Switching entirely to Terah flour from 2027 is a fantastic milestone, and one our whole team can be incredibly proud of.”

Measurable progress starts in the field

Terah is Dossche Mills’ Footprint Program. Through it, Dossche Mills works with farmers across Western Europe to make wheat cultivation more sustainable.

Farmers adopt practices that cut CO₂e emissions while supporting soil health and biodiversity. Depending on local conditions, these include more efficient fertiliser use, crop rotation, cover crops, reduced tillage and measures that support wildlife in and around the fields.

The Terah flour bought by Euro Pizza Products currently comes with a guaranteed minimum 30% reduction in CO₂e emissions compared with the 2022 baseline. When the programme launched, that guaranteed minimum was 25%; it has since risen to 30%.

Turning ambition into verifiable results

Terah’s growth is underpinned by increasingly robust calculation, monitoring and verification.

The programme’s approach aligns with the Silver level of SAI Platform’s Farm Sustainability Assessment (FSA). In addition, the methodology used to calculate Terah flour’s cradle-to-gate product carbon footprint has been certified by an independent third party in accordance with ISO 14067.

A mass balance system carefully tracks how much Terah wheat enters the supply chain, the CO₂e reductions associated with it and the amount of Terah flour that can be allocated. This ensures that claimed Terah volumes and emissions reductions never exceed what can be demonstrated within the wheat supply chain.

Step by step towards impact at scale

Euro Pizza Products’ full switch shows that making production more sustainable need not happen all at once. An initial volume can grow into a lasting commitment when the ambition to keep progressing is there from the start.

By increasing volumes year after year, Euro Pizza Products and New York Pizza are making regenerative Terah flour a regular part of everyday production, rather than a separate niche project. Their partnership shows that high volumes, consistent quality and measurable progress can go hand in hand.

About the Terah Footprint Program

Terah is Dossche Mills’ Footprint Program. It brings farmers, cooperatives, suppliers, Dossche Mills and its customers together around a shared goal: making sustainable wheat solutions available at scale.

Today, the Terah programme offers flour with a guaranteed minimum 30% reduction in CO₂e emissions compared with 2022. By 2030, Dossche Mills aims to produce flour with a CO₂e footprint 50% lower than the same baseline year.

Terah provides farmers with agronomic guidance and financial compensation for the additional practices they implement and the data they provide through the programme. It combines a lower climate impact with measures that support soil health and biodiversity.
