Belgian family-owned company Dossche Mills acquires German Mühle Rüningen

Both Dossche Mills and Mühle Rüningen are iconic grain companies in their respective markets in the Benelux and Germany. The milling group will now employ 600 people, process over 2 million tons of wheat, and generate a turnover of approximately €800 million. Both companies have strong positions in their respective home markets in the production and commercialisation of flour, bakery mixes, and related products for various applications such as bread, pastry, biscuits, the food industry, and animal feed.

This acquisition will enable the milling group to serve its customers across the Benelux, Germany, and France more efficiently from various locations, while also offering improved customer service and a broader product range.

The transaction is expected to be completed soon, subject to approval by the competition authorities. The terms of the transaction will not be disclosed.

The company operates five mills located in Gelsenkirchen, Braunschweig, Celle, Ringelheim, and Itzehoe, processing approximately 1 million tons of grain annually.
