On the record

The Terah standard aligns processes from field to flour and strengthens the framework within which all stakeholders operate. Moreover, these procedures guarantee we maintain an overview throughout the entire value chain of wheat production.

From solid data to fertile soil, we follow strict procedures in our approach to guarantee maximum transparency. The ‘Mass Balance’ principle is crucial here. This way, all partners involved know at any time the exact amount of CO2 that has been reduced.

After validation of the calculations, customers receive the integral CO2 footprint for Terah flour per recipe. Since the cultivation of low-carbon wheat is subject to variable weather conditions, we cannot guarantee predetermined yields. The verification does confirm – in black and white – the effective efforts and reductions compared to the 2022 ‘baseline’.
