Flour type carrier
Many products (including enzymes, amino acids, vitamins, flavours, etc.) are rafted onto a carrier material. The
carrier substance is selected in accordance with the parameters below depending on the final application or
production process:
- Particle size: fine or coarse carrier material depending on the desired flow and absorption characteristics.
- Stability requirements:
Sharply reduced moisture content: prevent hydrolysis of the coated material.
Killing of microbial flora: prevent an enzymatic breakdown of the coated products by bacteria.
- Colour of the carrier material: varies between white and brown.
We have a specific carrier substance in our range for all of these different conditions:
| ETF.FI.5-8% |
Course carrier flour (Max 25%<250µm and 99,9%<500µm) with a water content of maximum 8% |
| ETF.FI.5-12% |
Same as ETF.FI.5-8% but with a water content of maximum 12% |
| ETF.FI.4 |
Micronised version of ETF.FI.5-12% (Max 65%<250µm and 99,9%<500µm) |
Pizarro |
A flour type with a very precise particle size (~65% between 125 and 180 µm) and a moisture content of
maximum 0,9%. |
| Vasco |
Debacterised flour with a total plate count of lower than 10.000 cfu/g and a moisture content lower than 8%. |
